2023 Class Gift

Walking through CHS, you may notice the plaques acknowledging graduating class gifts spread throughout the school. From a sundial outside the entrance to the tables and chairs in early childhood to the graphics on the wall in our gymnasium, marks of CHS’s history are layered throughout our historic building.

For decades, our candidates for graduation and their families have united to create a lasting legacy, a testament to their time at CHS. The 2023 class, in keeping with this tradition, has left a mark that will be cherished for years to come.

“For this graduating class’s gift, we wanted to give something that would last and be visible to the whole school,” shared current parent Inger Karlsson (Ulrika ‘21, Torsten ‘23, and Britta ‘26), one of the 2023 Sixth Grade Class Representatives. Today, a plaque hangs in our upper lobby beside a custom-made clock with CHS carvings, including a bell tower, a hawk, and our guiding principles - visible for students, current families, and guests to see.
